Democrat Congressional leadership seems bent on "giving" medical treatment to all. Meanwhile, those who need help the most, our Elders, are forced in to penury or prevented care in any convalescent hospital or continuing care facitility. This is because congress has never provided a continuing care benefit in Medicare other than the immediate Skilled Nursing Care for 100 days following a hospital discharge. but what of the senior citizen who can no longer care for themselves and haven't been recently discharged from the Hospital? What if their condition requires care beyond 100 days?

Those Seniors are forced into penury by having to pay $8,000 to $12,000 per Month for Continuing care! I have witnessed too many elderly spouses forced into becoming primary care givers while destroying their own health by helping a loved one.

In the meantime if Congress wants to help, add Continuing Care as a Medicare benefit. Stop all this tinkering around whith an otherwise non-broken healthcare system.

I noted that the Dems decreed a 21% cut in Medicare reimbursement rates effective March 1, 2010.

How does this impact Military Healthcare you ask? Well it seems the Military Healthplan known as TRICARE (for all civilian Doctor. and Hospital treatment of Soldiers and all dependents) has benefit levels that are directly linked to Medicare. So, if Medicare is cut, they have also cut Military TRICARE.

How does this impact me? Well, figure there are doctors who might just refuse to continue treating folks because the Doc just can't afford to treat you for a financial loss.... so the result is; Docs must stop taking Medicare and TRICARE patients.

The Dems have succcessfully reduced your access to medical care.

I noted how last week when the Chosen One spoke attacking our Banks and Financial institutions, demanding more and more State Control of our Economy, the Dow nose dived over 3%.... Now following the SOTU address, the Chosen One has again decimated the Markets... today we are down nearly 1.5% and dropping like a rock.

When will the major press and media come to their senses and realize this guy is a disaster.

Have recieved a response from the President of the Uniformed Services University indicating that they can't revoke a degree that's been granted. He did indicate that Major Terrorist Hasan's medical license can be revoked, .... after..... after..... he is convicted of a felony. Awe shucks. I know the President of USU didn't set up the rules. How do we get the rules changed? I understood that in the case of an Israeli MD, who blew up a mosque, that his University did revoke the degree. It seems there is a double standard here in the US of A

I was speaking yesterday with a retired Navy CAPT, Medical Corps, who indicated that he had initiated a move with the Uniformed Services University of Health Science (USU), to revoke the MD degree that it had granted to Terrorist Major Hasan of his degree. He has violated his Hippocratic Oath, to “…never do harm…” and to “…keep far from all intentional ill doing.”

I sure hope this gains traction amongst the medical profession.
